Như chúng ta đã biết, PHP là một ngôn ngữ được viết để chạy chủ yếu trên nền tảng máy chủ Unix, Linux với máy chủ Apache và vì thế để chạy PHP trên nền tảng windows với máy chủ IIS, việc cài đặt thường cần thực hiện bằng tay và cần 1 kiến thức nhất định về cơ chế của IIS mới có thể thực hiện được.
